How We Got Here
Ethlen was born from Aretetic's work in data governance and participatory research infrastructure. What began as internal tooling for managing sensitive health data grew into a platform with its own identity, team, and vision.
Built Inside Aretetic
The technology that became DigitalCabinet was originally developed within Aretetic to support secure participant management for CDI studies and health data projects.
Ethlen Becomes Independent
As the platform matured, it became clear that sovereign data infrastructure needed its own dedicated company. Ethlen was spun off to focus entirely on data stewardship, EU compliance, and registry technology.
Exclusive US License
Ethlen now owns DigitalCabinet in its entirety. Aretetic holds the exclusive license to deploy and support DigitalCabinet in the United States, combining Ethlen's infrastructure with Aretetic's market expertise and research network.
