Our Journey
Since 2017, we've steadily evolved from a behind-the-scenes development partner to a product-focused organization shaping the future of participatory research and digital governance.
2017 — Aretetic is Founded
Aretetic begins its journey, offering development and UX services to mission-driven organizations and startups across healthcare and research.
2021 — CDI is Born
Community-Driven Innovation (CDI) is developed in partnership with LunaDNA to pioneer participatory research methods. When LunaDNA ceases operations, Aretetic retains full ownership of the IP.
2021–2023 — CDI Takes Off
Aretetic runs dozens of community-based data and research projects using CDI, refining its methodology and demonstrating measurable impact in rare disease, advocacy, and digital health.
2024 — DigitalCabinet Launches
Our secure, compliant registry platform goes live, enabling health organizations to collect, manage, and share participant data responsibly and transparently.
2025 — SoChoice is in Development
Aretetic’s newest product, SoChoice, is a community-first quadratic voting tool that blends fairness and strategy to support collaborative decision-making.

Ian Terry
Founder & CEO
Ian founded Aretetic in 2020 and leads the company as its CEO, driving strategy, product design, compliance architecture, and AI systems development. With over 15 years of experience in UX and rare disease research, he built the foundational technologies behind DigitalCabinet, SoChoice, and Community-Driven Innovation. A longtime advocate and technologist, Ian’s work centers on ethical, user-controlled data systems that prioritize transparency and trust.
